1960 LHD Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II Drophead Coupe by H.J. Mulliner
Among the most elegant postwar bodies created by Rolls Royce was the Silver Cloud II Drophead Coupe by H.J. Mulliner.
Originally introduced late in Silver Cloud I production, this model was known as an adaptation created by modifying a factory standard steel saloon body into a drophead coupe.
Mulliner’s modifications were so extensive that the resulting car became, in every detail, essentially a fully custom body.
This 1960 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II, with chassis no. LSRA295, engine no. 310.AS, and coachbuilder/body no. Rolls Royce & HJM CT3101, was originally ordered in France in November 1959 by the famous Mr. Chinetti, the three-time Le Mans 24 Hours race winner.
Chinetti was the sole Ferrari distributor and supplier in the U.S.A.
In May 1960, the car was acquired by his partner and associate in NART - North American Racing Team, Mr. Jan de Vroom, also a well-known racing driver.
Since 2007, this fantastic car has belonged to a well-known Portuguese collector, who fully restored it over three years in his own company, Good Old Times - Classic Cars.
The vehicle was completely dismantled, and even the engine was fully rebuilt, making it better than new.
The total restoration cost exceeded 200,000 euros, including a complete engine rebuild, suspension overhaul, transmission revision, metalwork repairs, painting, gearbox overhaul, and much more.
All chrome details are like new.
After the full restoration, the car has covered approximately 4,000 km.
This is one of the rare and original LHD models.
Equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 engine paired with an automatic transmission, it offers a powerful, smooth, and luxurious driving experience for any classic car enthusiast.
